My Story—Why I Do This
I still remember being a 15-year-old kid, too embarrassed to take my shirt off at the pool. That moment changed everything for me.
I got obsessed with losing weight—but luckily, I also discovered training. Seeing guys like Arnold and Lee Haney with their big muscles and lean physiques got me hooked on bodybuilding and strength training.
But, like a lot of people, life got busy. I started a business, tried to train hard, but I wasn’t always in the shape I wanted to be. This was my “work hard but not see results” phase. Looking back? I probably needed more food, less stress, and a smarter strategy.
Then Everything Changed…
Right before my 30th birthday, I was feeling great. I was the most athletic I’d ever been. I’d moved to Florida, had access to the outdoors, and was paddleboarding to islands, taking long beach walks—life was good.
Then, everything went sideways.
I moved into a place right on the island. I had no idea that the AC system—and even the walls—were full of black mold.
At first, I just felt off. Then it wrecked me.
I was exhausted all the time.
My brain fog got so bad I couldn’t remember why I walked into the next office at work.
My eyes were constantly bloodshot (solid red), and I started feeling like I was losing it.
I had no clue what was happening.
Then one day, I saw the inside of the AC system.
I didn’t fully understand at the time how serious it was, but I knew I felt awful. That led me to working with a naturopath and obsessing over learning everything I could about:
Brain function & mental clarity
Inflammation & how it impacts performance
Thyroid health & metabolism
Detoxification & recovery
Understanding environmental toxins and building better home environments
This taught me a ton about the body, and now I feel better than I ever have. More importantly, when something feels off, I know exactly what to do to fix it.
That’s given me the energy to stay sharp for my clients, my business, and my own fitness goals.
Because once you understand how the systems of the body actually work, getting results becomes so much easier—you stop beating your body up and start working with it.
